• To encourage greater collaboration and co-advocacy amongst various student populations in addressing issues related to diversity and multiculturalism.
• To provide an experience in which students can hone valuable leadership skills such as facilitating dialogues, organizing successful teach-ins, effective strategies for communicating with institutional administration, and developing partnerships across groups and college campuses.
• To engage students in self-reflective and self-challenging dialogues about issues of racism, sexism, heterosexism, classism, and other forms of discrimination, and how these affect one’s college campus.
• To draw upon the needs and experiences of student leaders in helping to frame a vision for how administration can continue to work toward making our campuses a welcoming and nurturing place for ALL students.
