Author David Zierler Discusses the Invention of Ecocide May 6

As the public increasingly questioned the war in Vietnam, a group of American scientists grew deeply concerned about the use of Agent Orange and other herbicides and started a movement to ban what they called “ecocide.”

Author David Zierler discusses this effort to stop altering the world’s ecology for the worse in his talk: The Invention of Ecocide: Agent Orange, Vietnam, and The Scientists Who Changed The Way We Think About The Environment. 

The author will sign copies of his book following the talk.
