Purchase Named a Top 200 Best Value in the Nation

According to The Princeton Review’s 2019 Best Value College Guide.

We’re pleased to be listed as one of the “Top 200 Best Value Colleges” in the nation by The Princeton Review in the 2019 Best Value College Guide.

The Princeton Review writes, “Students in search of a good school with a reasonable price tag will definitely want to consider SUNY Purchase.”

The college guide praises Purchase for our excellent academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences and performing and visual arts.

“We’re pleased that Purchase once again has been nationally recognized for its outstanding programs, dedicated faculty, and vibrant campus life,” says Caitlin Read, Dean of Enrollment Management. “We hope the guide inspires prospective students and their parents who are looking for a high quality education that is also affordable.”

Hear from the Students

Below are comments from our students featured in The Princeton Review’s profile of Purchase College.

Our faculty members across the board were lauded for their commitment to “getting to know students on a personal level,” and demonstrating that “they really want to share what they know with you.”

One student said, “I absolutely love my professors. I couldn’t have asked for or received better people who are more qualified for their positions.”

Students also point out that we actively celebrate diversity and creativity, and that there is “something for everyone at this school,” to study.

Students praise campus life for the wide range of performances, lectures, on-campus museum, wellness options, dance parties, and proximity to New York City.
