The President’s Award for Student Public Art on Campus is an annual competition created by President Schwarz to encourage the display of student-made public art on campus. The President’s Committee for Public Art on Campus reviews the submitted proposals, and a stipend covers the cost of materials, fabrication, installation, and maintenance.

The President’s Award for Achievement is an annual award recognizing an outstanding graduating senior from each academic division. Additionally, the Abbott Kaplan Award recognizes a graduating senior in the liberal arts and sciences who has done distinguished work in the arts and or a graduating senior in the arts who has excelled in the liberal arts and sciences.

The President’s Award for Classified Service is awarded annually to Purchase College Classified Service and Management/ Confidential Classified Staff employees in recognition of their outstanding performance, commitment to the campus community, and personal growth. The awards are presented at Convocation in the fall.
