New Filmakers Selects Student Christine Altidor's Film for Screening

"Currency" a film by student Christine Altidor was selected by for screening during the New Filmmakers Winter Series on January 12.

The film will be shown during the winter series which takes place during January, February and March. "Currency" is a documentary that explores the phenomenon of sugar daddy and sugar baby online dating. It includes footage from 20/20 and CurrentTV, along with interviews with actual sugar babies and with Brandon Wade, founder/CEO of Seeking Arrangement.

New Film Makers Screening Series selects films and videos often overlooked by traditional film festivals. Screenings are at Anthology Film Archives.  The program began in 1998 and over the past twelve years has screened over 600 feature and 2,000 short films. Many well known shorts and features including Blair Witch and Too Much Sleep have had their initial screenings at New Filmmakers. In 2002 they introduced New Filmakers Los Angeles.  Through their online program, filmmakers can exhibit and distribute their films directly to the public.
