Friends of Humanities Sponsor Discussion of Tea Party Movement

New York Times Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kate Zernike to discuss her book “Boiling Mad: Inside the Tea Party” at the Neuberger Museum of Art on October 27 at 1 PM. Admission is free. The event is presented by the Purchase College Friends of Humanities.


Zernike, a national correspondent for the New York Times interviewed Tea Party movement members for her book to understand what they believe and what they want.


The Purchase College Friends of Humanities is a community of senior learners dedicated to the educational enrichment of the School of Humanities at Purchase College.  They support scholarships, faculty development and new courses and programs.  The group participates in specially designed lectures and mini-courses that explore topics as the work of Marcel Proust, issues in modern and contemporary art, the lives and times of eminent Americans and cinematic form and function.  They also have access to semester-long undergraduate courses in fields as diverse as literature, philosophy, history, Jewish Studies, and art history.
