Film Major Dani Michaeli Writes for Sponge Bob Square Pants

Purchase alum Dani Michaeli entered show business at age eleven as a ventriloquist and soon became a popular choice for children’s birthday parties and local talent shows in his native Rochester, NY.

He eventually attended Purchase College and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in filmmaking.  While at Purchase he learned to write for the screen and made several short films.  He also developed a cartoony style, with encouragement from his professors and fellow students.

This all paid off years later when he landed a writing job on “South Park”.  This was followed by a writing position on “Sponge Bob Square Pants” at Nickelodeon, where Dani can still be found today.  He has also contributed scripts to Nickelodian’s “The Mighty B!” and Cartoon Network’s “Batman: The Brave and the Bold.”
