Soul Voices "Sprang Thang" Concert March 25

Pete Malinverni conducts the Soul Voices choir in Spirituals, Freedom songs, Rhythm and Blues, Reggae and Funk.

Pete Malinverni will conduct the Purchase Soul Voices Spring Concert on March 25 at 7:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College.

The lively evening is called “A Sprang Thang” and will feature the Soul Voices singing Spirituals, Freedom Songs, Rhythm and Blues, Reggae and Funk.

 

The group is 60 voices strong and continues to develop a unique sound.  Several soloists will be featured.  Member of Soul Voices include students from all parts of the campus who share a commitment to singing.

 

Pete Malinverni the founder of Soul Voices is a member of the faculty of the Purchase School of the Arts Conservatory of Music.  He performs worldwide at leading clubs and concert halls including Carnegie hall. He has 10 albums as a leader and has also been music director of the Devoe Street Gospel Choir in Brooklyn for 15 years.
