Artist Danielle Tegeder introduces a new series of animated drawings inspired by her drawings and paintings on paper in David Schwarz Project 12 , an exhibition in the Richard and Dolly Mass Gallery of the Purchase College School of Art + Design.

Danielle Tegeder, a 1994 BFA Purchase alumna is currently represented by Priska C. Juschka Fine Art in
In this exhibition Ms. Tegeder presents animated drawings inspired from the composed and interconnected conceptual spaces of her drawings and paintings on paper. Through a vocabulary of geometric and abstract forms, borrowed from modernist sources, she continues to expand the perimeters of drawing as a medium and a source. Tegeder presents five new animations inspired by the original drawings also in the exhibition. These new experiments in drawing activate the abstract landscapes of her drawings and provide a new space for modernist discourse in contemporary media practices and techniques.
A native of
Tegeder has been recognized with numerous grants and residencies from foundations such as the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Yaddo Foundation Residency, the Elizabeth Foundation, Lower East Side Print Fellowship Edition Award and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Fellowship.
