Alum Stanley Tucci Receives Oscar Nod

Actor and Purchase alumnus Stanley Tucci has received an Oscar nomination for  Best Supporting Actor  for his role in the thriller "The Lovely Bones."  He also had a starring role in the film "Julie and Julia" with Meryl Streep this past year. The Academy Awards will be presented on March 7 in Hollywood and will be televised on ABC.

Mr. Tucci will also make his Broadway directing debut on April 4 with the play "Lend Me A Tenor."  The Tony award winning farce stars actors Tony Shalhoub, Justin Bartha, and Anthony LaPaglia.  The play opens at the Music Box Theatre in New York.
