Soul Voices Present Winter Soul-Stice Concert Dec. 9

Pete Malinverni conducts Soul Voices in a concert tribute to Michael Jackson plus, soul, funk, gospel and jazz music. 7:30 PM in The Performing Arts Center.

Soul Voices presents a Winter Soul-Stice Concert at The Purchase College Performing Arts Center on December 9 at 7:30 PM. 

 

Directed by pianist and composer Pete Malinverni, the Soul Voices Choir will perform a tribute to Michael Jackson, and an evening of music inspired by the African-American experience along with music from many other cultures and eras.  The choir will explore soul, funk, gospel and jazz in a lively evening of music where they dare you to sit still.  The Soul Voices Choir is drawn from students with many different interests from all parts of the Purchase College campus who have one goal—to sing.

Pete Malinverni is the founder of Soul Voices and is a member of the faculty of the Purchase College Conservatory of Music.  He performs worldwide at leading clubs and concert halls including Carnegie Hall. He has 10 albums as a leader and has also been music director of the Devoe Street Gospel Choir in Brooklyn for 15 years.
