Purchase Alum Donald Margulies' New Play "Time Stands Still" is Headed for Broadway

Purchase Alum Donald Margulies will have a new play on Broadway this season when "Time Stands Still" opens January 28 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Alicia Silverstone and Laura Linney will star.

Linney will play a photo-journalist who was wounded while covering the Iraq war. Silverstone will portray the young friend of the woman’s photo editor.  Previews begin Jan.5.

Margulies was a visual arts major at Purchase class of 1976. He has written numerous successful plays including "Dinner With Friends" which earned him a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2000.
