Marilyn Young Discusses "Vietnam to Afghanistan:Wars in Southeast Asia" April 1 at Purchase College

The Asian Studies Program at Purchase College presents Marilyn Young, Professor of History at New York University, to discuss "From Vietnam to Afghanistan: American Wars in Southeast & South Asia" on Wednesday, April 1 at 5 PM in Room 1001 of the Natural Science Building.  Admission is free.

Marilyn Young has published extensively on the subject of the American way of making war, the Vietnam War and its aftermath, anti-war resistance movements and the world post-911.  She is the author of The Vietnam Wars and Bombing Civilians (2009). She earned her Ph.d at Harvard University and taught at the University of Michigan before joining NYU. She is currently co-director of the Tamiment Center for the Study of the Cold War at NYU.
