Todd Coolman’s latest album "Perfect Strangers" was the number five jazz album in the country during the week of February 9 according to Jazz Week's Top 50 Chart. The album is receiving frequent air play and sales are steady.
"Perfect Strangers" is a collaboration of some of New York's top jazz musicians with a group of largely unknown musicians who submitted original compositions to Todd through his internet-based "Learning Community" site. The music veterans added their own interpretations to the creative process in the creation of "Perfect Strangers."
In addition to Todd, the performers include Eric Alexander on tenor saxophone, Brian Lynch on trumpet, Jim McNeely on piano, and John Riley on drums.
The seven featured composers are Evan Cobb, Bill Stevens, Dana Malseptic, Mark Saltman, Erica Seguine, Mike Williamson, and Ryan Truesdell.
