French Film Festival Celebrates Fifth Anniversary at Purchase College April 3-5, 2009

Date Released: 12/16/2008

Focus on French Cinema 2009 will celebrate its fifth anniversary at Purchase College April 3-5 in The Performing Arts Center. The weekend-long festival of ten films will begin with a US Premiere film followed by a  Q and A with visiting actors and directors and a gala buffet dinner hosted by Les Maitres Cuisiniers de France.

Over the past four years, Focus on French Cinema has attracted an audience of almost 10,000 spectators, welcomed famous French actors and directors and presented over 40 newly released Francophone films to the Fairfield and Westchester communities.

This year illustrious guests and directors will be invited to share their passion and visions with the audience at the Opening Night Gala, the Saturday Morning "Meet the Director's Breakfast" and the Q and A's following the films.

It is a commitment to share great French cinema with the community.

Focus on French Cinema is presented by the Alliance Francaise of Greenwich in partnership with Purchase College and French Feeling Films.  The festival was created to reinforce friendship and cultural links between American and French speaking people.  All films are in French with English subtitles.
