Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will headline the half time show for Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida with an assist from Professor David Grill.
He will once again serve as lighting director for the Super Bowl game which will be seen on February 1 by an estimated 140 million people in the US and will be broadcast to more than 230 countries and territories. The show is annually the most watched musical performance.
Dave Grill is a highly acclaimed lighting designer who received a 2002 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Direction for his work on the 2002 Winter Olympics. He served as lighting designer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. He was also lighting director at last year's Super Bowl and five previous Super Bowls.
He was also recently nominated for two additional Emmy Awards for his Lighting -- the Rio 2007 Pan American Games and the Milwaukee Ballet's Romeo and Juliet.
Grill has designed lighting for theatre, dance, television, video and industrials, taking him to the Great Wall of China and to the great stage of Radio City Music Hall.
