Professor Todd Coolman is one of the artists appearing on the latest CD from jazz legend James Moody, Our Delight.
Nate Chinen of the New York Times calls it a "wonderful new release." It is is a collaboration by Moody on saxophone and flute, with pianist Hank Jones, of music by Tadd Dameron and Dizzy Gillespie. The masters are backed by bassist Coolman and drummer Adam Nussbaum. Nate Chinen of the New York Times says it "does much more than confirm bebop's stature as the reigning old-masters language in jazz."
Todd Coolman is the Director of Jazz Studies and performs regularly as a bassist both live and on albums. He recently released his own CD Perfect Strangers, an eclectic album featuring the music of unknown composers.
