Purchase Varsity Teams Plant Trees At New Turf Field; One Tree Planted in Memory of Student Virginia Reis

The Purchase College varsity teams have planted 13 trees on the north side of the new turf field parking lot.  They replace trees that were cut down to make way for the new field.  They include red maples and crab apple trees.

One tree was planted in memory of Virginia Reis, a student who worked for the Division of Physical Education.  A plaque will be placed in her honor near the tree.
