Open Studios on Saturday, November 8 at Purchase College offers the public a rare opportunity to visit the work spaces of 12 graduate students in the School of Art and Design's Master of Fine Arts program.
The free event from 1-5 PM in the Visual Arts Building on the Purchase College campus will showcase artwork in a variety of media including (but not limited to) drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, video, and photography. It is an outstanding opportunity to meet and interact some of the finest emerging artists in the program and to acquire contemporary art.
The studios are located throughout the Visual Arts Building. Maps will be provided for visitors. For links to examples of each artist's work, visit http://www.purchasemfa.com.
The MFA Program is co-directed by Nancy Bowen and Kate Gillmore, and features Mira Schor and Matthew Ronay as guest artists for the fall 2008 semester.
