Lindsay Randall, a 2007 graduate of Purchase College, has been named the College’s first Environmental Sustainability Coordinator. In her new position, which she assumed in August, she works to coordinate all of the different efforts related to sustainability throughout the College and chairs the Environmental Sustainability Committee. She is also the campus liaison for the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment and will be working closely with all departments within the College to develop a plan to reduce the net greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by the year 2050, as stated in the Commitment.
Ms. Randall received her undergraduate degree in environmental studies. While a student at Purchase, she interned in the office of Congresswoman Nita Lowey and was the founding president of the Environmental Activists Club. She served as a student senator, a teaching assistant and a peer advisor.
