Purchase College, State University of New York, is located at 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, N.Y.
Robert Kipniss has exhibited his work internationally, and is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the British Museum, the Bibliotheque National de Paris, the Pinokatek (Munich) and the Museo de Arte la Tertulia (Cali, Colombia), among others. Recently, 121 of his works were exhibited in a retrospective at the New Orleans Museum of Art, their inaugural show, after being closed in the aftermath of Katrina. He is an elected member of the National Academy in New York and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in London.
Mika Rottenberg imagines systems of production whose functions are tied to those of the human body. She has created a number of ambitious video installations, along with photographs and drawings, in which the viewer feels pulled into her cramped and bizarre factory environments occupied by the women working at Kafkaesque tasks. Rottenberg continues to show internationally, and her work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, among others.
