Set in present day Iraq, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo is a surreal and comic vision of the current madness of life and war for Americans and Iraqis. American soldiers, a translator, ghosts and a tiger wander the doomed streets of Baghdad trying to find what's been lost in the ruins. The play is a meditation on the spoils of war in the 21st century. Produced in collaboration with the Lark Theatre Company.

By the Bog of Cats is set on the bleak, ghostly Irish landscape of “the Bog of Cats” and based on the classical Greek tragedy of Medea. The play discloses one woman’s courageous attempts to lay claim to that which is hers, as her world is torn in two.

Craig Bacon directed several productions for the Mercury Theatre in the United Kingdom, including Macbeth and The Tempest, as well as for Synchronicity Space, the Atlantic Theater Company and New Voice Theater. Last year he directed the Purchase Repertory Theatre production of William Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale. He has worked as an actor throughout Europe and the United States. He trained extensively with Uta Hagen, Herbert Berghof, Kristin Linklater and Tina Packer. He has taught at London’s Actors Centre, the Atlantic Theatre Company, Circle in the Square, New York University, and Shakespeare and Company.

Giovanna Sardelli has directed Rajiv Joseph’s plays All This Intimacy for Upcoming at Second Stage Theatre and Huck & Holden for Cherry Lane.
