Government Views of Iraq
This site created by the City College of New York library's government information division contains an updated version of online government sources about Iraq.  The bulk of the resources are from the United States, however there are international entries as well.  Resources include such items as U.S. Congressional Hearings and Resolutions, Federal Agency reports, transcripts of press conferences and briefings, USAID Fact Sheets, legislation, news releases and Presidential Communications, as well as texts of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, the Geneva Conventions and Protcols, selected international treaties and information on governance post Saddam Hussein including regulations, memoranda, orders and public notices from the Coalition Provisional Authority as well as resources re the Iraqi national elections on 30 January 2005 and information re the Iraqi Transitional Government. 
 
The Constitutions of The World
This site, created by Texas A & M's Social Science Department, features the constitution of every country in the world from Albania to Zimbabwe in a user-friendly index style.  There is also a database of International Treaties available.
 
United Nations
The official site of the United Nations, established in 1945 by 51 countries committed to preserving peace through international cooperation and collective security. Today, nearly every nation in the world belongs to the UN: membership now totals 189 countries.
  • The United Nation's Dag Hammarskjold Library: UNBISnet
    This site provides a catalog of U.N. publications from 1979 to present. Some documents are available from 1945. The site also provides an index to speeches and a database of voting records of the General Assembly from 1983 and the Security Council from 1946.
  • The United Nation's Atlas of the Oceans
    A portal to information relevant to the sustainable development of the Oceans. The site is designed for use by policy makers, students and scientists. It has documents pertaining to ecology, biology, geography, human health and global climate change.
  • United Nation's Human Development Report
    This site presents data and publications on more than 120 nations. Well known reports include the Human Development Index, the Gender-related Development Index, the Gender Empowerment Measure, and the Human Poverty Index. The effort is commissioned by the United Nation's Development Programme.
  • International Labor Organization
    The official site of the U.N. sponsored ILO, which formulates international labour standards recommendations that set minimum standards of basic labour rights. The site contains the full text of ratifications, recommendation, statistics and the World Employment Report.
  • World Intellectual Property Organization
    The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is an international organization of 179 member countries sponsored by the U.N. The site contains documents, statistics and the Collection of Laws for Electronic Access (CLEA) database, an international electronic archive of intellectual property legislation.
  • UNESCO
    The official website for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It contains the full text of official documents, a photo bank, a video bank, an archives directory and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics.
 
Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development
The official site for OECD, an international organization of 30 industrialized, market-economy countries. A variety of full text documents and statistics are available to the public such as standardized unemployment rates, purchasing power parities, tax system comparisons, and the OECD Economic Outlook.
 
World Trade Organization
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is a global organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. The site offers the full text of legal documents and background papers as well as statistical publications such as the annual International Trade Statistics Report.
 
International Monetary Fund
The official website of the IMF, an international organization of 183 member countries established in 1946. The site contains valuable data in its publications such as the Country Reports, International Capital Market Reports and the World Economic Outlook.
 
World Bank Group
An international coalition with the "mission to fight poverty and improve living standards for people in the developing world". The site contains information about The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, The International Development Association and other enterprises.
