We offer digital conversion, CMS training, & help retrieving senior projects.

We can digitally archive your department’s distinguished materials. We can even help you add them to a campus database for research & exposure.

And you can submit an order form to get the ball rolling!

Digital Conversion:

All materials submitted for digitization must be unique, archival in nature, or obsolete materials. This includes 35mm slides, film negatives, glass plate transfers, lantern slides (autochrome, hand-painted), transparencies, postcards, tintypes, daguerreotypes, 20th century poster prints, rare books, and/or artist books. Need a conversion? Fill out the order form.

Please note: We do not produce scans in printed form; we do not create PowerPoint presentations for you; we do not scan course reserves. We digitize specialized resources used for teaching and research.

CMS (Content Management Systems) Training:

CMS training requires an appointment with the curator. Systems available to train with include Shared Shelf, Omeka, TMS, & CONTENTdm. The Library utilizes Shared Shelf and Omeka to make our digital collections discoverable. All CMSs require knowledge of cataloging and metadata standards, are user friendly, and will allow you and/or your department to digitally store and display scholarly materials for teaching and research.

Senior Project Retrieval:

Need a senior project digitized? Email us at lib.digital.collections@purchase.edu and request it with all of the information you have at hand. We will retrieve the project, scan it, and email it to you or the interested parties. If you  wish to peruse the project in person, please contact the Circulation department at lib.circ@purchase.edu
