The Digital Collections Center offers hands-on internships & part-time employment that prepares students for a career in archives, libraries, & the digital humanities.
Digital Humanities Internship: This internship is open both fall & spring semesters, is a required 10 hours per week for 4 credits. The intern will be exposed to the latest literature in the field, as well as practical experience in digitizing material culture. Archives Internship: This internship is open every summer semester for 10 weeks, requires a commitment of 10 hours per week, for 3 or 4 credits (depending on student need). The intern will learn standard archival practice, as well as emerging organization theory. Digital Collections Assistant: This paid part-time position opens every fall & requires a dedication of 10 hours per week. The assistant will be asked to digitize and catalog various archival collections at the DCC. Applicants should have good organization skills, proficiency with Windows OS & Adobe Photoshop.
