What is your motivation to succeed?
One of my biggest motivations to succeed is to graduate with my bachelor’s to prove to my niece and nephew that it is possible to achieve your goals and reach new heights. I want to be an inspiration for them, just like how many role models have inspired me growing up. Some of the people who motivate me are my friends, family, counselors, professors, teachers, and online content creators.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you.
Something most people don’t know about me is that I used to sing in a choir that would perform for children’s hospitals, private events, and sport stadiums. I once performed the star-spangled banner at Citi Field during the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
What are your long-term goals?
Some of my long-term goals is to graduate with good grades, move into my own space with a fun office, join an agency to book acting roles, and comfortably hang out with friends after a long week in my own backyard.
What does EOP/MAP mean to you?
To me, EOP/MAP means getting the opportunity to connect and engage on campus that elevates you toward a path of success. Learning to communicate with others, where to go if I need a tutor, and managing my finances are all incredibly helpful resources that have helped me on my college journey.
What’s your most invaluable experience at Purchase?
My most invaluable experience at Purchase was getting to meet with my counselor Mary Garcia. Not only is does she help me but she is encouraging too. I’m confident knowing that she always has my back and is open to sitting down and having a chat with me. I am grateful to have a strong support system by my side.
