Enid Lotstein

Lecturer of Environmental Studies

Dr. Enid Lotstein (she/her) is a science and environmental educator who works closely with students in higher education. Her research and teaching interests are in the interdisciplinary areas of geography and environmental impact. She has taught geography and Earth science for the last 20 years in public and private institutions in the New York City metropolitan area. She has also taught college to incarcerated individuals in New York State prisons. 

More About Me

Her current focus is on helping students to understand the impacts of climate change both locally and globally. She teaches Human Dimensions of Climate Change through the First Year Seminar and Physical Geography through the Environmental Studies department. She earned a B.A. from Barnard College and an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University in geography. She is excited to be a part of the Purchase College learning community.
