Lawrence J. Tamburri
Lecturer in Arts Management
Lawrence Tamburri has more than 30 years of experience in arts management, advocacy, and fundraising. He is currently executive director of the Newark School of the Arts, a position he has held since April 2013. In 2015–16, he served as interim chair of the arts management and entrepreneurship programs at Purchase College.
Tamburri previously served as president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) from 2004 to 2011, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 2003, and the Savannah and New Hampshire Symphony Orchestras.
He has been a part-time lecturer in arts management at Purchase College since the fall of 2012, and has also taught at Seton Hall University and Carnegie Mellon University.
