Most of Jeff’s 35-year professional career has been as a Film Editor, Sound Supervisor and Sound Designer in film & television post production. After 5 years in Motion Picture Trailers (aka “Coming Attractions”) he became one of the original members of the independent New York film company The Shooting Gallery, designing and supervising sound for nearly all their films, including Billy Bob Thornton’s Sling Blade, Nick Gomez’s Illtown and Bob Gosse’s Niagara, Niagara. He supervised 3 films for Danny Leiner, including Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle. His Picture Editing credits include Amos Poe’s Frogs For Snakes, Gosse’s I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell and Dee Snider’s Strangeland. Additional sound editing film credits include Unfaithful, Mystery Men, High Crimes, Cats and Dogs, Agent Cody Banks, Gomez’s Drowning Mona, and the upcoming Jennifer Lopez/Lenny Kravitz motion picture Shotgun Wedding. His television credits include Raising Dion, Young Sheldon, Designated Survivor, Orange Is The New Black, House M.D., and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit - among many others.

He has taught Editing, Sound Design, Film History and Film Interpretation (as well as Acting courses) at both the New York Film Academy and the Los Angeles Film School. He has guest lectured and conducted sound seminars at various Film Schools and Universities in New York and Los Angeles, as well as volunteering with the Inner City Filmmakers Program, an organization offering professional film education to marginalized, diverse low-income or at-risk youths living in Los Angeles County.
He is a graduate of the Purchase Film Program - 1987.
