Celine Snippe (she/her) is a lyricist, librettist, playwright, and fiction podcast writer from the Netherlands. She holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing (New York University), an MA in Musical Theatre (Goldsmiths, University of London), and a BA in Theatre Studies (University of Amsterdam).

Recent works include: YOU’RE THE LAST ONE, a horror podcast, with collaborator Justin Gates, developed with The Brick Theatre’s “Sound Lab” Fiction Podcast Residency, pilot currently in production; VAN GOGH: A NEW MUSICAL, with composer Eric Fegan and director Will Nunziata, currently in development; THE PLACE BETWEEN, a horror musical, with composer Justin Gates, 29-hour equity reading (dir. Mike Donahue), selections featured in Curtain Up Festival (Berklee College of Music), demo available on SoundCloud; FREE SOLO, a rock climbing musical, with composer Jack Godfrey, produced at Hen & Chickens Theatre, Tristan Bates Theatre, and Drayton Arms Theatre, participant in BEAM Showcase, Studio Cast Recording on Spotify and Apple Music; THE CITY BELOW, a noir podcast, with collaborator Justin Gates, pilot episode produced with support of the NYU Production Lab Podcast Academy.
Celine’s work has been performed at venues such as Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, Two River Theater, 54 Below, Greenroom 42, and several theatres in London and the Netherlands. She participated as a lyricist in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and she’s a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America, ASCAP, and Maestra.
When Celine is not writing scary stories, she can be found in the mountains reading Stephen King novels, hiking long distances, and sleeping under the stars.
