Gittie Freeman (she/her)

Doctoral Graduate Extern, Cornerstone Program

Gittie Freeman is a Doctoral Extern for the Cornerstone Program within the Office of Disability Resources at Purchase College. Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, Gittie provides individualized academic, self-management, and social skills coaching, and serves as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff. Gittie is currently a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical and School Psychology Psy.D. program at Kean University.

 

Prior to joining Purchase College, Gittie worked as a Program Manager at an Adult Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities. In this role, her responsibilities included staff supervision and providing community based services to adults with disabilities. Previously, Gittie served as an Applied Behavioral Analysis technician in both school and home settings.

 

Most recently, Gittie completed a school psychology externship within the Belleville Public School District. Through Kean Psychological Services, Gittie provides direct therapy and treatment planning as a Student Clinician.

 

In her spare time, Gittie enjoys being outdoors, reading, watching tv shows, and listening to music. She also prioritizes time spent with her family and friends.
