Matthew Bollinger

Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing

Matt Bollinger has exhibited throughout the U.S. and in Europe, including solo shows at Zürcher Gallery in New York and in Paris. Recent museum exhibitions have been at the Phillips Museum, South Bend Museum of Art, Nerman Museum, and Musée d’art moderne et contemporain, Saint-Étienne Métropole.

Matt Bollinger received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in Painting and Creative Writing and his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Painting. Residencies include the Seven Below Arts Initiative in Burlington, VT, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA, and the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program in Brooklyn, NY. In 2016 he received of a NYFA grant in Painting. His 2017 exhibition, Between the Days, at Zürcher Gallery in New York was named one of the “12 Revelatory Exhibitions” of the year in Hyperallergic. He is represented by Zürcher Gallery and lives and works in New York state.
