Mara Rupners

Lecturer of Communications

A specialist in integrated marketing communications, Mara Rupners has a had a 20-year career developing visual and written communications for arts organizations, small businesses, and not-for-profits.

After seven years as the Director of Communications for White Plains, NY-based ArtsWestchester, the largest not-for-profit arts council in New York state, Mara’s career path led her to Purchase College, where since 2010 she has served as the Director of Marketing for The Performing Arts Center.

She is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for The PAC, with a special focus on new audience development and integrating social media and digital initiatives with more traditional marketing methods.

During her time at Purchase, she has also been a regular guest lecturer in the Marketing for the Arts program.

In her consulting work, she specializes in affordable and effective marketing and graphic design solutions for small businesses and not-for-profits.
