Lecturer in Communications
Fouzia Najar is a media artist, educator, and a co-founder of Diverse Filmmakers Alliance. Her interests lie in storytelling, social justice, and media representation and she received an M.F.A. from Hunter College in Integrated Media Arts, a program dedicated to innovative storytelling over transmedia platforms. She has contributed to work that aired on The Weather Channel, CNN, ABC, and Discovery. Her most recent work in broadcast TV was about Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Learn initiative, which worked to increase girls’ access to education worldwide.
