Doctoral Graduate Intern, Cornerstone Program
Salena Wilhelm is a doctoral intern for the Cornerstone Program within the Office of Disability Resources at Purchase College. Salena is currently studying school and clinical psychology at Kean University. Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator of the Cornerstone Program, Salena provides individualized academic, self-management and social skills coaching, and serves as a liaison between students and faculty and staff.
Prior to joining Purchase College, Salena worked in an elementary school setting providing counseling and behavioral supports for students, as well as psychoeducational evaluations. Salena also previously worked in a hospital setting where she conducted autism evaluations for individuals of all ages. Upon graduation, Salena hopes to continue her work with individuals on the autism spectrum in an academic setting.
In her free time, Salena enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, and watching the newest Netflix series. She also enjoys watching the New York Mets.
