Lecturer in Creative Writing
Amber Galeo is a graduate of the MFA Writing Program at Columbia University School of the Arts, where she received a Philip Guston fellowship and the Ruth Bennett Prize in Poetry from the Academy of American Poets. She also holds an MA in Human Rights from Columbia University and a BA in Gender Studies from Purchase College, State University of New York. Her work has appeared in Guernica, The Missouri Review, Prairie Schooner, Crazyhorse, Women Arts Quarterly and the book Raising Up the Roof: Activists Construct Women’s Human Rights Through CEDAW. She currently serves as Director of Communications at Urban Resource Institute in New York City.
