What does Think Wide Open mean to you?

Think Wide Open means to be open-minded about situations in life, not judge people on any aspect, be open to new experiences and situations, stepping out of your comfort zone to do new things and view different things in a way you’ve never thought of before, but ultimately thinking wide open means to just being open to changing your point of view on certain things and being accepting of everyone else’s.

What do you want a prospective student to know about Purchase?

Purchase College is a safe space for everyone and no matter who you are or what you are interested in, you always find people that you connect with, classes you love and interest you, and just overall a safe environment to grow in for the 4 years you’ll be here.

What is your favorite spot on campus and why?

Library or Stood. The library is amazing for when you want to study in a calm environment and it really helps me focus, but one of my other favorite places is the Stood because it is one of the safest spaces on campus where you can just relax, play some games, listen to some music if you want, and just let go of the stress of being a college student

Why did you choose Purchase?

I originally chose Purchase because it was close to home and they had a great psychology program. I stayed at Purchase because I loved it, since my first day here everyone was so nice and welcoming, I found an amazing group of friends, I ended up taking some classes I loved and Purchase just became my second home after I thought it was just going to be a place where I came to get a degree in. Just being at Purchase for a year made me grow as a person and learn how to step of my comfort zone and explore new things. So even though I choose it because it was close to home, I stayed because this slowly became home.

What made you want to become an ambassador?

I love Purchase and I’ve had great experiences at Purchase and I want to get prospective and incoming students as excited about Purchase as I am.
