Robert F. Weinberg
Robert Weinberg is co-founder of Robert Martin Company, along with his deceased partner Martin Berger. The firm has developed and managed over 6,000,000 square feet of office and industrial complexes, including the well-known Cross Westchester, Mid Westchester, Stamford, Stratford, Blue Hill, and South Westchester Executive Parks. Many of these properties have now been merged into the Mack-Cali Real Estate Investment Trust, where Mr. Weinberg serves as a Director and principal shareholder.
Robert Martin Company has also built and owns mixed use complexes in Urban Renewal areas that contain garden apartments, hi-rise rentals, and condominiums; offices; stores and shopping centers; hotels, and restaurants. RMC is continuing the development of the land which it owns, both in what are now the Mack-Cali Executive Parks, as well as in other large property holdings. As sponsor of Urban Renewal areas, the company is producing in-town, mixed use revitalization, and it continues the Robert Martin Company residential project legacy, which has created over 3,000 dwelling units and is now participating in processing projects containing nearly 6,000 more.
Robert Martin Company is actively involved and fully staffed for land acquisition and development, planning, design, financing, construction, and marketing of all of these uses. It has separate subsidiaries for residential and commercial management services, as well as real estate brokerage.
Mr. Weinberg is now, or has previously been, a Director of Mack-Cali Real Estate Investment Trust; Chairman of the Westchester Public Issues Institute; Member of the Urban Land Institute; Director of the Westchester County Association; President of the Builders Institute of Westchester & Putnam Counties; Member of the Westchester County Utility Agency; Chairman of the UJA/Federation, Westchester Real Estate & Builder’s Division; and Chair of the Associated YM-YWHA’s of Greater New York.
Mr. Weinberg served as Director of the City & Suburban Financial Corporation until its merger with Ridgewood Savings Bank. In addition, he was was also a Director of Local Federal Savings & Loan in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Weinberg earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, an M.S. degree in Building Engineering & Construction from Massachusettes Institute of Technology, and a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. He is licensed in New York State both as a Professional Engineer and Attorney-at-Law.
