Peter M. Fishbein

 

Peter M. Fishbein is a former Note Editor of the Harvard Law Review and a law clerk to Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Community Service Award from Brandeis University and the Jurisprudence Award from the Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training (ORT). Mr. Fishbein is presently a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, a Director of the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law, and the I Have A Dream Foundation.

Mr. Fishbein has previously served as the Deputy Secretary General of the International Peace Corps, Chief Counsel to the Committee on the Executive Branch of the New York State Constitutional Convention, Trustee of Goddard College, Visiting Professor at Middlebury College, and Adjunct Professor of Constitutional Law at New York University Law School. Mr. Fishbein was also a Director of the Citizens Budget Commission and the Healthcare Chaplaincy and Member of the New York State Governor’s Board of Public Disclosure, Presidential Commission to Nominate Candidates for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Whitney Museum Legal and Ethics Committee.

Mr. Fishbein holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College. He resides in Harrison, New York and has three grown children.
