Dan Peck

Dan Peck is currently Principal Tubist in the New York City Ballet Orchestra. From 2010 to 2017 he played tuba and upright bass in the Broadway musical Chicago!. Dan has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, American Ballet Theatre and American Symphony Orchestra, and participated recently in the 2018 Classical Tahoe Music Festival.
In addition to classical music, Dan pursues his other passion for improvisation and experimental music, releasing music through his record label, Tubapede Records, and performing and recording with bands such as The Gate and Premature Burial, and with composer/improvisors such as Ingrid Laubrock, Erica Dicker and Anthony Braxton.
He attended Rutgers University and the Manhattan School of Music, where his principal teachers were Scott Mendoker and Toby Hanks.
