Access Counselor, Office of Disability Resources

Scott Meshnick is an Access Counselor at the Office of Disability Resources who specializes in training students how to use assistive technologies. In addition, Scott primarily works with students with learning disabilities or ADHD diagnoses to determine appropriate academic adjustments and auxiliary aids and services at Purchase College.

Prior to joining the Office of Disability Resources at Purchase College, Scott worked at Gateway Community College, where he assisted with running the Step Forward Program, a 10-month college transition program for students ages 18 to 21 with mild cognitive disabilities and high-functioning autism spectrum disorders. He has also worked at the disability support office at the University of Connecticut.

In his spare time, Scott is an avid NFL fan, particularly of the New York Giants. He is also huge fan of The Beach Boys; he owns their entire discography and possesses a large collection of memorabilia, paraphernalia, and books about the band. Scott’s other hobbies include playing video games, studying Jewish history and archaeology, as well as teaching and studying Modern Hebrew.
