The Library’s first floor display (near the display cases) features classic and contemporary works that have been challenged/banned for their unorthodox and unpopular ideas.
Each year, Banned Books Week (September 22- 28, 2024) highlights the value of free and open access to information, bringing together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express all ideas.
