Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month Display

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage at the Library!

On display in the Reference Commons on the first floor, we have a vibrant sample of Library materials from our book, music and film collections. The selected book titles include literature, contemporary & traditional poetry in Spanish and English translation, autobiography, and anthologies that cover subject areas in history, theatre, popular music, fine arts, photography, film, and sociology.

Our Music and Film collections also come alive with the diverse sounds and storytelling of Latin America. Our sample of CDs on display represent major genres such as salsa, mariachi, tango, Latin pop, and rock en español. Artists range from worldwide icons such as Celia Cruz, Willie Colon, Silvio Rodriguez and Tito Puente to contemporary favorites like Shakira, Los Fabulous Cadillacs, Gloria Estafan and Marc Anthony. And our sample of DVDs include award winning documentaries and feature films.
