“New Beginnings” Book Display!

The Library celebrates the start of the semester with a fantastic display  of poetry, fantasy, and personal narratives entitled “New Beginnings.”

Welcome to Fall 2023! The Library celebrates the start of the semester with a fantastic display entitled “New Beginnings.” The titles explore themes of change, new and endless possibilities, and limitless futures. See works of Afro-futurism & fantasy alongside personal narratives of immigration and migration.

Engage with memoirs of individual & collective struggles of genders & sexuality, or delve into classic fiction by novelists Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Toni Morrison and Annie John. Take in the breadth of Latinx experiences and identities found in the Latinx anthology, Speculative Fiction for Dreamers, or pick up Furious Flower, an anthology of poems by more than one hundred award-winning poets, including Jericho Brown, Justin Philip Reed, and Tracy K. Smith. Here’s to new beginnings at Purchase!

​The display stand is on the first floor of the Library and will be up for the month of September.
