Librarians are on-call this summer!
On-call librarians are here to help you virtually and in-person all summer long! Just ask for a librarian at the Circulation Desk or text us at 914-873-1711, and a librarian will come meet you! You can also use our Chat 24/7 service for virtual help from a real, live librarian!
On-call Reference
- Throughout the summer, Reference Librarians are available Monday-Friday 10am to 4pm.
- Use the Text-a-Librarian service to summon a librarian: text 914-873-1711, your location, and your question, and a librarian will come assist you!
Virtual Reference
We continue to provide live, virtual reference help via the following services:
-
Chat 24/7: Use the Chat 24/7 service to message with a librarian 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We’re not bots! Librarians from Purchase College monitor the chat service during in-person Reference Hours. Outside local staffing hours, a national cooperative of librarians will help you 24/7, even when Purchase College Library is closed!
-
Text a Librarian: Text your question to (914) 873-1711 and a Purchase College librarian will respond within 10 minutes during regular reference hours.
-
Zoom-By-Appointment: Schedule an individual zoom appointment by emailing your subject liaison librarian. Or, email ask@purchase.libanswers.com, and we’ll connect you to the right librarian. Include your question and preferred meeting times in the email.
-
Email a Librarian: Email your question to ask@purchase.libanswers.com. You’ll get a response from a Purchase librarian either the same-day or the next business day.
