COVID Policy Update

Masks are encouraged but optional, and guests are allowed at the Library, following recent College-wide adjustments to the COVID-19 protocols. Read on for full details…

According to the email sent to the Purchase College Community on September 12, 2022, masks are now “encouraged but optional” indoors across campus. This is because Westchester County is currently a low transmission area (Green Zone). Effective immediately, in keeping with the College-wide policy, masks are now encouraged but optional in the Library.

Additionally, visitors / outside guests are once again permitted to enter the Library and use our collections and technologies on-site. Guests include: alumni, visiting researchers, parents and family, students and faculty from other SUNY campuses, the general public, Broadview charter members, etc.

For full details, please review the Library’s updated policies on masking and guests.

On a final note, please take to heart the request in the campus-wide email to honor and respect the masking requests of your peers. While we will no longer be enforcing masking within the Library, everyone who works here or studies here has the right to feel safe. If you have concerns or questions about the new policies, please email lib.director@purchase.edu
