Our Microsoft contract provides students, faculty and staff with work-at-home copies of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).  You can download them directly from Microsoft using your Purchase College email address.

Other Software for Remote Learning:

Other software vendors have been accommodating in terms of providing access to lab software for remote learning.SPSS, Mathematica, ARC-GIS and Atlas-ti are all available for remote use. Please see the Software Downloads page for more information or submit a CTS work order.

Adobe Creative Cloud Access:

Adobe has ended the free student work-at-home licenses they granted last year.

The current student options for accessing Adobe software are:

1. You can use Adobe in an on-campus computer lab. If you are on campus or within commuting distance, Adobe remains available on all computer lab machines.(See below for available labs and hours.)
2. You can purchase your own home subscription through E-Academy for $19.99 a month for the first year.
3. You can submit a CTS Work Order to request a long-term Desktop loan from CTS. Desktops owned by the college have Adobe software installed, and they have larger screens and faster processors than laptops.
4. You can use open source alternatives to Adobe products. There are free alternatives to every Adobe product.

Socially Distanced Computer Labs:

All campus computer labs have been thinned out to meet social distancing guidelines.
If you are using a computer lab, please wear a mask and use the spray disinfectant available there to clean touch surfaces.

See the Labs Page for revised seating capacity and availability.

The Library and other buildings are closed to reduce cleaning workload.

Equipment Loans:

Students who still have equipment out from last semester are asked to return the equipment as soon as possible. To schedule an appointment to drop off equipment, please drop into the CTS Zoom-Room.

If you are unable to make it back to campus, we will work with you to make alternative arrangements. Late fees for all unreturned equipment will be assessed beginning March 1st.

Spring 2021 equipment loans are available beginning February 1st. Equipment loans are available for contactless pick-up at CTS between 9am-4:45pm - by appointment only.

Students enrolled in remote-delivery classes who live more than 60 miles from campus can request shipping of loan pool equipment to a secure location at the discretion of CTS.

Return shipping labels can also be requested. Equipment loan periods will be extended in cases where shipping is required.

Please note that we expect the Equipment Loan Process to be under significant pressure this year with timelines and finances strained by shipping expenses.

Please do your part by reserving the equipment you need for your coursework early, ensuring that it can be delivered to a secure location, and returning the equipment as soon as possible so that it is available to other students.

Please avoid requesting equipment loans for any activities that are not directly related to your coursework.

Submit a CTS Work Order to request an equipment loan.
