Purchase adjunct Sara Cooper premieres new musical

SUNY Purchase adjunct professor Sara Cooper premiered her new musical, Elevator Heart, on March 27th at the Access Theater in downtown Manhattan. 

Elevator Heart is a musical theater production that explores experiences of a diverse group of women in the 21st Century. Through various songs, scenes & monologues, the play explores the way stories are told and the core of being a woman. 

An all women+ ensemble musical that will punch you in the face while kissing you on the lips. 

Sara Cooper is a New York–based playwright and lyricist. She is a member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild of America. Cooper received her BFA in dramatic writing and her MFA in musical theatre writing at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Sara teaches Writing the Musical Book and Songwriting for the Musical in the playwriting & screenwriting program at Purchase.
