Dear Parents and Families

The students are understandably excited and a little bit stressed as the semester begins to wind down.

Final exams are a few short weeks away and seniors are busy finalizing their senior projects.

As we enjoy looking back on a successful and fulfilling year, we must also look forward. Registration for fall has begunand it’s not too late for students to finalize plans for summer. They can take a course, do an internship, or find a job through our JobScore database.

I’d like to share that April is Financial Literacy Month. This annual, nationwide observance is aimed at highlighting the importance of financial literacy to good financial planning and overall fiscal well-being. At Purchase, we want to make sure that our students have the tools necessary to make smart financial decisions while in college and beyond.

This is why I want to encourage students to utilize the Smart Track website to help identify their personal money philosophy, gain knowledge of key personal finance concepts from budgeting to investing, and come away with a customized action plan to translate concepts into behaviors.

Finally, for those of you who plan to attend commencement on May 17, I look forward to meeting you in person to celebrate your student’s success.

Best regards,

Dennis Craig
