Worried About Inclement Weather?

There’s a winter storm on the way. What’s happening on campus?

When there’s a major winter storm on the way, you might wonder how it will affect your students who live on campus.

Hopefully, it won’t, except for the possibility of cancelled classes.

At Purchase, “essential personnel,” or those employees tasked with providing meals, clearing snow, and managing the facilities—and of course, university police—are all required to remain on campus during winter storms. This ensures dining halls remain open, emergency service repairs are made, roads and sidewalks are passable, and all students remain safe.

And, your students can even borrow a snow shovel from the MORE store to dig out cars.

Rest assured, when a winter storm hits, life at Purchase simply goes on.
